2016年は清川にとって制作活動15周年の記念の年ということもあり、全て新作の実験的な個展となります。
2001年より「糸」という素材に向き合あい続け、絵本の創作、「complex」シリーズ（高橋コレクション）、「美女採集」シリーズなど、人間の内側に潜むコンプレックスや影のようなものを捉えた写真を縫う行為によって装飾的な作品にして、多くの話題をよんできました。それと同時に、異業種とのコラボレーションも数多く手がけてきています。
様々な交流の中から生じてくるイメージを追求し、より浮き彫りになった自身のリアルな現代的感覚をカタチにした新作は、「1:1」のような、インスタグラムなど改めてソーシャルメディア時代に生きる自身・記憶・風景を作品にしたシリーズや、大量の所有物に糸でドローイングしイメージが出来上がる様を描いたインスタレーション「わたしたちのおはなし」など、今までとは違った手法によって様々なカタチで表現されています。
本展は、清川が感じるそのリアルな想いや、現代社会において自我と他者のあり方について考えることを皆さんと共有する、貴重な機会となることを願います。

Since 2001, he has been facing the material of “thread”, and photographs that capture the complex and shadows hidden inside human beings, such as the creation of picture books, the “complex” series (Takahashi collection), and the “Beauty collection” series. The act of sewing has made it a decorative work, and has attracted a lot of attention. At the same time, we are also involved in many collaborations with different industries.
Pursuing the image that arises from various exchanges, the new work that embodies his own realistic modern sensation that has become more apparent is once again in the social media era such as Instagram, such as “1: 1”. In various forms, such as a series of works of living self, memory, and landscape, and an installation “Our Story” that depicts how a large amount of possessions are drawn with thread to create an image. It is expressed.
We hope that this exhibition will be a valuable opportunity to share with you the real feelings that Kiyokawa feels and the way of thinking about the ego and others in modern society.
