2024年夏に鹿児島県・霧島アートの森にて開催された特別企画展「ミスティック・ウィーヴ：神話を縫う」を引き継ぎながら、過去から未来へと続く人類の物語を自然と都市、伝統とテクノロジーの交差点で紡ぎ直す試みとなります。
清川のアーティストとしての活動は、個人の内面や感情を描いた初期の作品から、社会全体や地球規模のテーマを扱う現在の作品へと大きな変化を遂げてきました。しかし、その根底にある「人間の本質に問いを投げかける」という姿勢は一貫しています。自然と都市、伝統とテクノロジー、個人と社会といったテーマに対して、これまでにない視点で考えるきっかけを生み出したいと強く願う清川が神話の世界に鑑賞者を誘い、新たな時代の価値観をともに探ろうとする展示です。

Following the special exhibition “Mystic Weave: Stitching Mythology”, held in the summer of 2024 at Kirishima Open Air Museum in Kagoshima, this exhibition aims to reweave the human narrative stretching from the past to the future at the intersection of nature and urban life, tradition and technology.

Kiyokawa’s artistic journey has undergone a significant transformation, evolving from early works that depicted individual emotions and inner worlds to her current pieces that address broader societal and global themes. However, her core philosophy remains unchanged: a commitment to questioning the essence of humanity. Through themes such as nature and urbanity, tradition and technology, and the individual and society, Kiyokawa aspires to offer new perspectives and provoke thought. This exhibition invites viewers into the realm of mythology, encouraging them to explore the values of a new era together.
