積み重なる裸体の女の子たちの周囲から、芽が生え、葉が開き、花が咲き乱れています。動植物と一体になったようにも見える彼女達の身体。
その黒髪のウィッグや真っ赤な口紅は”女性”というステレオタイプの見られ方を、各々があえて演じているようです。
この奇妙な群像は、”女の子”が突如ファッションに目覚め、自らが”女性”であることを意識しはじめること、そしてそれが集団化する様子を寄り集まったミュータント（突然変異）として表現しています。

Young women, naked, are piled on top of one another. Around them, shoots emerge, leaves unfurl, and flowers bloom profusely. The women’s bodies appear to have become one with nature.
Their black wigs and bright red lipstick convey the stereotyped way that a woman is viewed, here deliberately conjured up by each of the participants. As she grows, a girl suddenly becomes aware of fashion and begins to think of herself as a woman.
That process is expressed by this strange ensemble of such mutants (the results of permanent, unprogrammed change) huddled together to represent the way that the process becomes a group activity.
