京都の伝統産業のひとつである銀泥叩き・焼箔加工といった技術を使用した引箔に、オイルパステルでドローイングをし、刺繍を施した作品です。見る角度で風合いが変わる、新しい技術を用いた刺繍作品です。

In this series, Kiyokawa added embroidery to her own oil pastel drawings on hikibaku, a traditional Kyoto craft created with paper thread and gindorotataki [silver pigment pounding] and yakihaku [sulfurized silver foil] techniques. The result is an example of the use of new technology to create embroidered works that change their appearance according to the viewing angle.
