LIFEは女性の人生そのものをモチーフにした作品です。
幼年期・思春期・青年期・成熟期というプロセスのなかで、女性はさまざまな経験を重ね、考えたり、悩んだりしながら生きていきます。
なにもかもが初めての体験で新鮮に感じられる幼年期、身体に変化が訪れて”性”を意識しはじめる思春期、自らの生き方をより深く考える青年期、そして自分の居場所を見つけて人生を謳歌する成熟期。
異なる年齢の四人のモデルの写真には、それぞれの人生の段階における、女性特有の心理や心象が刺繍によって描かれています。

The artwork LIFE takes women’s lives as its direct theme.
Throughout the various stages of their lives—childhood, adolescence, youth, maturity—women go through all kinds of experiences, thinking and worrying about a myriad of things.
In childhood, everything is a first, and everything feels unprecedented; in adolescence, the body changes, and we begin to awaken to our sexuality; in youth we begin to think more deeply about how we want to live our lives; and then, in maturity, we find our place in the world, settle down and enjoy life.
The motifs embroidered onto the photographs of four models depict the psychological backdrop peculiar to each of these life stages.
